What to do when you're feeling lost...
- recognize that it's normal
- simplify (minimalism)
- take a break from social media...reach out to friends/fam in person or over the phone/facetime
- focus on what you can control and don't pay attention to what you can't
- acknowledge your successes & practice gratitude
- journal (journaling prompts in description that link to CWI blog...why do you feel lost? what happened to make you think this? do you have patterns of self sabotage? what have people in your current position who felt lost done to change their lives?)
- find inspiration (more in depth episode next week on this)
- take some form of action
- don't focus on the fact you feel lost, look at things with curiosity - 605
- focus on your strengths and what you're good at (use this time for positive self talk!)
- use this time to build healthy habits
- read some personal development books! (you are a badass, big magic, ____ are a few of the ones i liked that are specific to creativity too)
- change your environment
- trust your gut - sit with yourself/meditate and brain dump afterward...see if there's themes or something that repeatedly comes up...how can you change that into a path or goal?
- be OK with taking a break from being productive and 'on a path'
- spend time outside
- lastly, if none of these are helping, reach out to a therapist or career coach who can help you
